Selected from Purple Hen's range of vineyards, clones, ferments and barrels to provide a bigger style of Pinot Noir - one with firmer tannins and structure, more a rooster than a hen. The name was also chosen as a mark of respect to the Hahns who established one of the region's foundation vineyards and who provided great support to Purple Hen. The family name Hahn has a German derivation meaning, The Rooster. An apt epitaph for Lionel.
